Mayor Nutter Takes On Gaper Delays

071508krysiuknutter.jpg

So, uh, the mayor helped Dorothy Krysiuk do traffic this morning on Good Day Philadelphia. Apparently the economy is so bad, Mayor Nutter needed to pick up a part-time job, just like how Ed Rendell does Eagles Post Game Live.

Redlasso clip after the jump. (P.S. Somebody get the mayor to dance with mascots next time.)

'Good Day' Keeps Up Journalistic Excellence

The Good Day Philadelphia crew spent the last 90 seconds or so of the show hula hooping. Here's the video.

One Man's Obsessive Dedication To Improving The Career Of One Local Traffic Reporter

Selected offerings from the blog of one Gionni, which appears to contain all posts about Dorothy Krysiuk:
Dear Producer,

My wife and I find the transition from Sue to Dorothy, a bit generic or boring. Allow me to explain. My wife favors Dorothy Krysuik a whole lot. Myself and her staff of 30 people agree. So we all made a game out of this similarity to see if my wife can dress exactly like Dorothy everyday, down to the shoes. So every morning myself (1), my staff of 50, my children's teachers (4), my wife (1), her parents (2), my parents (2), and my wife's staff of 30 watch the traffic to see how the roads are but also to see what Dorothy is wearing. We began this game when the transition from Sue to Dorothy started with a full view of Dorothy and then panned in. I believe it was around March 2006. It was very exciting because when these 90 people would see her during the course of the day, the universal response would be "Oh my God. She even has the same shoes" Everyone loved it. Can you please go back to the full view and then pan in to Dorothy.

Dorothy Krysiuk Lays The Smack Down

If you haven't noticed yet, Fox 29 now has a half-hour 11 a.m. newscast. (Yes, it has Kerri-Lee Halkett.) There's apparently a daily segment called "The Dish" where Dorothy Krysiuk and Sue Serio, uh, dish on something.

Today's segment was on Bratz dolls. Serio notes that Bratz dolls' heads are disproportionate to their bodies. (Gee, I wonder what body parts of Barbie are a little off in proportion?) Then Dorothy Krysiuk lays down the law.

"Yeah! Mothers shouldn't be buying these for their... oh, your daughter has them? I mean, they're great."

That dude from Metroblogging who interviewed her must be pumped. I mean, that new hairdo totally looks cute.

Quickies: Holler If You Hear Me

• Quite frankly, I blame Stephen A. Smith for the constant "quite frankly" cliché showing up in every other article nowadays. Which is odd, since nobody watches Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith. [The Gelflog]

• Concert Rumor: Radiohead will be playing the Tower in Upper Darby on June 1 & 2. [Green Plastic Radiohead]

• Somehow the Daily News printed a Northeast Times letter saying that every hip hop "video shows the rapper treating women like animals and that, if you deal drugs, you can be rich, just like me." [DN, 3rd letter]

• While searching how to spell her name correctly this morning, I came across the Dorothy Krysiuk Yahoo! Fan Club, which has 230 members. Where's the Erin O'Hearn Fan Club? [Yahoo! Groups]
