An Excuse For Bikini Photos!

Hey, the Eagles held their cheerleader auditions yesterday, and they selected the feel-good story of three sisters who are now all Eagles cheerleaders. Um, yeah.

Update: A (female) friend asks, "Is that sister wearing a bra under her bikini top?" I think it's just the design of the bikini top, but it definitely looks like it could be a bra.

Update 2: The same friend contends the buckle is "clearly meant for bare skin" and it's definitely a bra underneath. Clearly, more investigation is necessary.

CBS 3 is in a tough spot. It's good to see the station got such a scoop to keep people's minds off Alycia. If you're wondering, I'm totally sad over Ms. Lane now. Stay strong, girl.

Flavia Colgan Answers The Bikini Call

The Daily News' Clout today contained a story about local celebrities who have unclaimed money with the state.

Okay, so a story about how rich people have more money coming to them isn't all that interesting, but the DN did run a photo of blogger/editorial board member/do-gooder/TV commentator/etc. in a bikini. (Because there are no other places to find photos of scantily-clad women in the world.)

While it isn't Alycia Lane, it's nice to see some local media celebrity in a bikini. Perhaps this will inspire other local anchorbabes to come forward!

Chicago Swimsuit Controversy Way More Fun Than Ours

While she might not attract quite the desire our own bikini-clad newsbabe does, Chicago's Amy Jacobson did do one thing Alycia Lane didn't: She released the photos. Or, rather, the video got out.

Well, okay, the situation is a little different. Jacobson was covering the disappearance of a man's wife for CBS 5 in Chicago and showed up at his house in a swimsuit. Then, somebody took video and Channel 5's rival, Channel 2, broadcast the video online and Jacobson eventually resigned from the station. (She says she made a "horrible mistake." Gasp!)

Meanwhile, Alycia Lane has yet to show up in a swimsuit, one-piece or bikini, anywhere. But it's apparently okay to joke with her about it, as the owner of a Bala Cynwyd gym put on Kerri-Lee Halkett's bikini top in order to make fun of Alycia Lane.

Lane took a photo and will now be showing it to friends who ask to see her bikini photos, apparently. If she issues a press release announcing the release of her fake bikini photos... well, it's be funny, but disappointing, I guess.

Alycia Lane: The Best Of The Emails

Every once in a while, there's a story that generates a lot of mail. As you may have guessed from the sudden popularity of her in online searches, the Alycia Lane story is one of those.

I'm a bit puzzled by some of the reaction, people posting comments about how angry they are Lane sent photos of herself in a bikini to a sports anchor. Isn't that a pretty cool thing to do? Wouldn't you like it if an attractive thirtysomething send you swimsuit photos?

But I digress. The majority of the email I've received this week is like this:

Tell Alicia Lane I'm single. 26 yr old white male going to graduate school health services administration. WORD!!!

Alycia Lane: Just Friends With Rich Eisen

It turns out Alycia Lane isn't nearly as cool as we all thought.

Today, she talks with the Inquirer's Michael Klein and insisted she was not a home-wrecker. (The Inquirer's interview is "exclusive," since last time Lane talked with Dan Gross she screamed at him or something. Gross still has a cover story, though.)

Lane tells Klein the emails were part of friendly banter between friends, and the photos contained photos of her and several friends on the beach.

Holy shit. The photos are even better than anyone thought.

"I don't want to hurt his marriage," said Lane, 34, whose second divorce was recently final. "I hope love comes to me. I'm not looking for it with a married man. I have been the married girl who was cheated on."

Considering the emails I got yesterday essentially proposing to Lane (more on this later), I can only assume Lane's CBS3 inbox -- ha ha, in box!... sorry, I'm apparently 15 years old -- will be filled with the ramblings of stupid twentysomethings later today, especially since she said "I hope love comes to me."

Alycia Lane Lusts For Rich Eisen

I've always been jealous of Rich Eisen. Although he's a handsome guy, I'm actually only jealous of his gig working for the NFL Network, which has to be the greatest job ever. But, apparently, I should be a little more jealous of his looks. After all, he attracted the attention of noted anchorbabe Alycia Lane.

Last time we saw Alycia Lane, she was fending off the advances of one State Sen. Vince Fumo. Now, though, she's in hot water for sending Rich Eisen seven emails and photos of herself in a bikini. The problem, though, was he sent it to an email account Eisen and his wife share -- who does that? -- and the wife intercepted the emails first.

Page Six reports Eisen's wife, ABC sideline reporter Suzy Shuster, fired back a nasty email to the CBS 3 anchor, writing this:

"Boy, do you look amazing in a bikini . . . congrats! Whatever you're doing, (Pilates? yoga?) keep doing it - it's working for you. Anyway, sorry but those seven e-mails you sent to my husband, Rich, well, oops, they came to the e-mail address we both use from time to time, but no worries, I'll forward the beach shots as well as the ones of you dancing with your friends on to his main address. Do you have it?"

Shuster added, "I mean, what better way to get a guy's attention than with skin!" Shuster even gave Lane Rich's solo email address, which means she must trust him, I suppose. Nobody would comment for the Page Six article, but here's the deal: If you're reading this, Suzy, feel free to forward those photos along. That goes for you too, Alycia.

Yes, if you're wondering, Alycia Lane is fucking awesome. I'm sort of wondering what she's going to do next to get in the gossip columns. (Last year, she was seen cheek-to-cheek with Prince Albert.) I feel like I'm going to be writing a post soon that begins, "Dan Gross reports Alycia Lane was seen riding a butterscotch-covered elephant in a one-piece down Broad Street yesterday..."
