In most elections, like the Philadelphia mayoral race last year or the general election this coming November, we already know who’s going to win. (Respectively: Michael Nutter and Ron Paul.) But tomorrow we don’t know who’s going to win! Alli Katz has posted this poll chart from Pollster (that I’ve made a little easier to follow with some additions) that shows that … I dunno.
Clinton is up by a few points, and will probably win by a few points. But we’re not 100 percent completely sure, and so tomorrow will be fun.
By fun, of course, I mean not fun.

A friendly reader sends along this quote he heard on the Washington Post’s politics podcast from Hillary Clinton:
“I really think this is one of the defining issues in this campaign between me and my opponent. Now unfortunately, he doesn’t cover everyone. And he is attacking me with a new ad that he has put up because I do cover everyone with more misleading information.”
Mhmm. Indeed you do, Ms. Clinton. Indeed you do.

Wonkette has posted this incredible sign from somewhere in central-ish Pennsylvania, coming up with nicknames for the candidates: Barry “Nobama” Obama and Hillary “Lying Narcisist [sic?] Bitch” Clinton.
We need these signs around here. NOW.

And you thought you could escape the election during a simple Phillies-Mets game, at least in between the commercial breaks. No go: Hillary Clinton’s supporters parked right behind the Phillies dugout — which meant that after the cameras realized there were Clinton signs there, we never saw another shot of a left-handed batter from that angle again. Thanks for ruining the game, Hillary!
No sporting arena is safe, it seems: Tonight, there’s a rally with Bill, Hillary and Chelsea at The Palestra. Hillary was naturally on Q102 this morning as well.

Ha ha, someone told Hillary Clinton she’s comfortable in the kitchen! Was it noted America-hater Barack Obama? Clinton-lover/radio host/sexist Howard Eskin? Surely a comment so evil could only have been said by Adolf Hitler himself.
Nope, it was said by none other than Hillary Clinton!
Clinton also brought up this week’s Philadelphia debate without naming her rival, Sen. Barack Obama. She said her opponent complained about some hard questioning by the moderators, but said that it was nothing compared to her own eight years in the White House as first lady. She quoted Harry Truman: “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.” She added that she’s comfortable in that “kitchen.”
When Hillary Clinton is president, such sexist comments will be outlawed.

Apparently, at least 100 Pennsylvania mayors support Hillary Clinton. There was a rally in Harrisburg to show the mayors’ support for Hillary, but with one problem: The 100 Mayors for Hillary rally only attracted 19 mayors.
In case you can’t do math, that’s a 19 percent turnout. The Clinton campaign said the rally was never intended to have all 100 mayors, while the Obama campaign shot back, saying the 19 percent was “about the same percentage of voters who actually care about this story.” Oh snap!
And then, a food reference for some reason: “Voters are hungry to get this campaign back on who can create jobs and lower the cost of health care.” No no. Voters want cheap health care and shiny new jobs, that’s true — but they’re just hungry regardless. Have you seen the people in this state?

Why do the sports talkers cover sports more seriously than they do politics? First, it’s Angelo Cataldi in Barack Obama’s pocket (as he’d probably put it) and now The King goes ga ga over Hillary Clinton.
Yes, radio host and fur salesman Howard Eskin had Hillary Clinton on his show yesterday, and Ump Bump chronicles the softballs Eskin lobbed her way, including these:
- I think Barack Obama has gotten a pass from other talk show hosts…How do you deal with unfairness in the coverage of this primary election?
- You were First Lady while the best president of my lifetime was in the White House. How important was that experience?
- Am I permitted to call you ‘Hillary’?
I can only imagine he got cut off before he could ask her what kind of tree she would be.
What’s even more fun is Chelsea Clinton exaggerates how sexist comments were (or something) and then her mom goes on to a radio show of a dude whose favorite punch line when a woman calls is asking her what she’s cooking for dinner. When’s Hillary Clinton’s next appearance on Don Imus?
Short clip after the jump.

So Hillary Clinton is still going on and on about that “people are bitter” comment Barack Obama made, and now, look, people are getting tired of it! “Noooooo,” they scream. But she will probably keep talking about it until John McCain is president.

You no doubt heard over the weekend that Hillary Clinton had a shot of Crown Royal to show how common she is. Yes, if the Yale-educated son of a former president can run as an outsider, so can Hillary Clinton.
The shot of Crown Royal is an interesting choice; while high-end enough to show that she’s not a commoner drinking Banker’s Club whiskey, it’s not quite expensive enough to be a really solid whiskey choice for a multimillionaire. Come on, Hills! I’ve only had Johnnie Walker Blue Label once, but if I made $109 trillion last year like you and Bill did, I would be filling an in-ground pool with the stuff.
And now, Barack Obama has struck back with these comments: “They’ll promise you anything. They’ll even give you a long list of proposals. They’ll even come around with TV crews in tow and throw back a shot and a beer.” Whoo! It’s a good thing this campaign continues to focus on the issues.
