Sen. Specter Has Priorities In Order
![]() |
The NFL says, "Oh, this scandal is all over, sorry everybody." But Arlen Specter isn't having any of that! Yes, the man who should be investigating any one of the number of United States atrocities in the name of the wars on Iraq or terror or drugs is content to investigate the New England Patriots.
"They are enormous role models for everybody," Specter said. "If you can cheat in the NFL, you can cheat in college, you can cheat in high school, you can cheat on your grade-school math test. There's no limit as to what you can do. I think they owe the public a lot more candor and a lot more credibility."
Cue your own favorite stolen 2000 election joke up, people!
Anyway, Congress will probably do a hearing or a Mitchell Report-type investigation while President Bush continues to videotape other team's playcalling signals unabated.

To the first commentor, are you high??? The Patriots won those championships because they had the better team, not because of some video tapes. Are you kidding me, do you think that other teams don't steal signals? Specter is fast becoming a laughing stock, this is a complete abuse of power. It's embarassing, all because he can't take his Eagles choking year after year.

PRIORITIES IN ORDER!?! Are people insane? The Patriots are a good team, and proved it this year. They won because of their talent, but I'm not belaboring that point. Hate 'em, love 'em, make your arguements.
I am just sick and tired of the government wasting money on this nonsense. I don't care about Spygate, and I don't care about steroids. I want to keep my job, keep my house, and hopefully not send my sons to fight and die in a war.
Specter is a senile old fool, who is only concerned with getting rid of the NFL's antitrust exemption so his monetary backer Comcast can make some money and help keep him elected. And he's an Eagle's fan.
GET BACK TO WORK AND STOP WASTING MY MONEY YOU OLD FOOL!

whoa, calm down there angry guy. just hit the button once.

I did. Not my fault the CGI form stuttered, or the server has a buffer issue.
...and I won't calm down, not when this dinosaur wants to waste even more money on a g-d football scandal! Bechtel, Halliburton, unconstitutional use of executive power; investigate these things, not the NFL or melon-head Clemens!
Recessions, mortgage foreclosures, unemployment, and this clown wants to spend my tax money on this? This country is literally falling apart, and he wants to spend his time on this. Shame on him, and shame on anyone who supports him!
I am angry! You should be angry too!

There is a little town out west, maybe you've heard of it, it's called Las Vegas. And just in case you were born yesterday, I have to tell you that in Vegas over the course of the last seven years billions of dollars have been wagered on NFL football games. When you add up all the collective betting on football on a global scale it is hundreds of billions of dollars. A lot of people lost a lot of money because of the Pats cheating.
Now,in the gambling world, its called "fixing a game" when organized cheating occurs within a sports franchise. When this happens you leave the rhelm of sports and enter the sleazy world of crime.
Regardless of what Rodger would have us believe, Specter knows that the Pats had a huge advantage from cheating. So would people betting on the game if they knew about the fix. And lots of people knew about the cheating, probably the whole team. So, how many of them were betting on the games? It's not a stretch to think at some point over seven years organized crime might have gotten wind of it. When a horse race or a boxing match is fixed, they don't loose a draft pick, someone goes to jail. I hope Specter gets to ask questions to some people under oath
