Ron Paul Clone To Run For N.J. Senate
![]() |
Contending that Washington is "bankrupt" of both money and ideas, Dr. Murray Sabrin said the country is in a "perfect economic storm" that demands a return to free enterprise and confines the federal government to the role outlined in the U.S. Constitution.
"There's nothing (in the Constitution) about agriculture, housing, education, or energy," Sabrin, an economics professor at Ramapo College, said. He proposes that the federal departments bearing those names and functions be eliminated. Social Security would also be phased out under Sabrin's plan, with new workers shifting their contributions to 401(k) plans.
Yes, that's right, a libertarian doctor is running for Senate in New Jersey. We can shortly expect Dr. Sabrin to have a blimp, his own coinage and an army of angry online followers. And, look, thinks are going well for Maverick Murray so far!
Sabrin calls himself "Maverick Murray" and, lacking support from the party establishment, has striven for media attention in the primary in novel ways, such as inviting people to bet on his pick in the Kentucky Derby (Cowboy Cal) and contribute the winnings to his campaign.
Cowboy Cal finished sixth, out of the money.
Well, at least Cowboy Cal didn't die, like Hillary Clinton's horse.
Maverick label a fit for Sabrin [Camden Courier-Post]

Guess what, dickface, the Department of Justice isn't in the Constitution either. You want to get rid of that, and the Attorney General and the FBI?
You, Dr. Sabrin, are made of fail.

Do you have to be a "Dr" to be a libertarian candidate?

The fed swaps treasuries for loans so the banks have more liquidity on the books so the interest rates go down and the dollar is devalued. They must be doing this in the people's interest, right dumb ass McQuade?

Go Sabrin! I love the brainwashed "conservatives", who are not really conservatives, except they hate Muslims, and also Dr. Paul because he is a LIBERTARIAN! It's too bad that critical thinking skills are so diffuse through the US population.

Is a douche.

I would love to see REAL change in our government. I wish to see even MORE Liberty, Prosperity and Peace avocates coming forth to tell us TRUTH.
The current administration is a pack of crooks and liers, extortionist and war mongers. The prospective presidential nominees are business as usual and we can believe the rhetoric as we have over the years from these promoted, hand picked for us "more of the samers" or we can choose a REAL American President like Ron Paul. The least one can do is look at his record, his writings and read his new number one seller book. REVELOLUTION.

You sir are made of stupidity. Dept of Justice was created to alleviate the work load of Attorney General. It, unlike the listed programs, didn't tear the responsibility from private citizens and force them into compliance against their wishes and superior judgment. The market always performed those jobs better then the government for less cost and didn't need to steal a percentage of people’s paychecks every year to do it.

In regards to Dr. Sabrin who I meet just over 10 years ago at a meeting. I had no idea who he was until he was asked to speak regarding our gun laws.
He spoke with passion and was well informed. While I'm no resident of his state I can only confirm he is a very wise and informed option for the voters to consider. With or without Ron Paul's support I support him from a distance with funding.
Though he supports many of Paul's views he is much more inclined to set aside the nice guy routine and fight for what he supports. I would love to see him in a debate and I'm certain anyone who is on the same side of the fence or across the way would not want to debate Sabrin.
In my view Sabrin is as real as it gets so I hope he wins. We do need to abolish the fed printing money and we do need an accouting of our gold. However, I'm less inclined to support his views regarding natural drugs or maybe I just have not studied the topic as I should.
Having followed the Ron Paul crowd for a long I can be fair to say I have supported Paul for over 5 years but mainly for his economic views but I was won over by the debates. Only Ron Paul presented real issues and it would appear that Sabrin would offer the same in the senate. Also, I have never been in a habit to send funds to a sentor for another state but I just mailed him $2K yesterday and I hope he wins.

Wow, judging from this article, from Philadelphia no less, the mavericks Jefferson and Madison should have been handed over to the British. So much for Philadelphia's legacy on supporting the Revolution. And, I suppose, anyone who supports Constitutional provisions is a dickface. That adolescent commentary will surely sway me.

You know it's awfully funny how a conservative candidate will talk about the free-market, 2nd amendment, and limited government to a polite smattering of applause-but the second they mention slaughtering all Muslims and nuking Mecca, they get frantic, standing ovations.
Democrats started almost every single military conflict in the 20th century yet Republicans now take the position that any and all war is good and worthy of fighting. Republicans used to rise repeatedly in opposition to war but now they look for any excuse to launch yet another. What the hell happened?

Ah, god, is there anything more unintentionally hilarious than a libertarian?
Thank you, D-Mac. Thank you.

NJ citizens and Murray Sabrin supporters reading this article -- Please make sure you go out and vote for Murray Sabrin on June 3rd. All the enthusiasm and message board posts mean nothing if you don't go out and cast your ballot.

Well, considering there are only three federal crimes (treason, counterfeiting, and piracy), and that counterfeiting is covered by the Secret Service, and that piracy is covered by the Navy, then the only thing the DOJ/FBI/AG should be doing in criminal cases is treason, and otherwise being legal counsel for the government. Everything else is frivolous unconstitutional fluff.
So Dr. Sabrin is right on. May he win!

Despite the poking fun, I have to point out that he is leading the Republican pack ... something Ron Paul never managed to do.
