The affidavit describes several such encounters with an Internet escort service known as “harrisburgfratboys.com.” Court documents indicate Barclay twice flew a 19-year-old man referred to as “W.M.” to his West Palm Beach home. During a trip last month, “W.M” told investigators that Barclay flew a male prostitute from Binghamton, N.Y., and paid that man $1,500.
The video cameras, incidentally, were hidden in the bathroom, bedroom and "indoor recreation areas," cops say. Barclay resigned earlier this month after the rape allegation.
Barclay's lawyer say the taps disprove the rape allegation. It's unclear if he'll be charged with videotaping or soliciting a prostitute, though the cops say the search warrant "contains probable cause [I hope so!--dmac] to further an investigation into invasion of privacy and prostitution.”
The ex-commish still has his backers. His next door neighbor -- who was there for Super Bowl parties! -- says, "I still think the community will respect him at the end of the day." I don't see any problem with a john hiring 500 prostitutes and secretly taping himself having sex with them -- not in a row -- but I think some people might be a little peeved.
