Abridged Daily News Columnists

Oh my God both of these columns are about Geno's -- I was really hoping to be able to ignore Joey Vento like I've been doing for forever ever now. Crap.

Michael Smerconish: Forget the column, the second comment on the article is the best part: "Word is catching on about Geno's. Terrible cheesesteaks run by a smug, small minded, tattooed up owner with an elemetary school education. The democratic candidates are not the only ones avoiding his shop." Ba-ZING! (Don't worry, the comments section will be swamped with people complaining about Mexicans in a few minutes.)

Stu Bykofsky: Oh, Joe Vento doesn't like being called a bigot. Well, hey, know what could stop that?

Now let us never speak of anything regarding any of this again.

Rev Allen of the Human Relations Commission should resign so that intergrity and credibility can be restored to the HRC.

With no complaint filed, that didn't stop Rev Allen who went ahead with his plan to strip Vento of his civil rights in Allen's Kangaroo Court.

Rev Allen violated Vento's civil right to free speech under the First Ammendment.

Rev Allen violated Vento's civil right to Equal Protection under the 14th Ammendment when Rev Allen selectively persecuted Vento who did not deny service, but turned a blind eye at Pat's Steaks' "The Rules."

Not only do "The Rules" require a customer to speak English, it tells what English words to use and codifies in writing Pat's policy to deny service to those who will not use those English words when ordering, .i.e., "If you don't follow the rules, go to the end of the line."

If I were a hysterical Unniversity Professor, I would take to my fainting couch for months because telling me to go to the back of the line would remind me of being told to go to the back of the bus. Oh the humanity, the cruelty, the opportunity for the big bucks using PC to force a settlement.

Is all about self promotion, Third generation Italian Ameican sounds like he just jumped out of his gondola. He should be the first one to learn English.
