Nutter Tosses Out First Pitch, Is Nerd

033108nutterfirstpitch.jpg

Here's Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter throwing out the first pitch of today's Phillies game. As you may have noticed, he has his shirt tucked in. Joe Moore (you don't know him) told me in fifth grade you don't tuck in a sports jersey, and I learned my lesson. Nutter could rap "Straight Outta Compton" and he'd still be the biggest nerd in all of Philadelphia, just because of that shirt.

I agree the uni should NEVER be tucked into jeans, but that was one hell of a pitch His Honor threw. Much better than 99% of Tom Gordon's.

Oh snap! Nice dig on "Flash" Gordon. Pretty awesome how he nullified what had been an impressive and exciting comeback by pitching like an A-baller.

PS- Did you notice just how fast His Honor's handlers got him back into the suit in time for the 1st inning interview?

This shows you how shallow people can be - Nutter is a good man, I think he is going to be a great Mayor, it was a good pitch and the big discussion is "to tuck or not to tuck"!!!
