Oppressed Minority To Sue CBS 3

013008lane.jpg
Oh, you all knew this was coming. Dan Gross reports has filed court papers against CBS 3, almost certainly a prelude to a lawsuit (or settlement) with the company.

Lane and attorney Rosen have also asked for any documents or personnel files pertaining to the firing by CBS3 of "any other anchor or reporter of Latina descent, African-American descent or the descent of any other minority group." Could Lane, dubbed the "Latina Bombshell" by the People Paper's Stu Bykofsky in 2003, be playing the race card?

Any other minority group, eh? I knew the unfair termination of Chief Halftown would come back to bite CBS 3 in the ass one day.

Yes, yes, Chief Halftown was on Channel 6. Whatever, once I thought of the line I wasn't changing it.

does anyone really realise she's latina? i mean yes she has the obnoxious pronouciation of her name, but c'mon. if she wasn't constantly saying it i'd never know. Playing a race card when people think you're white is hilarious.

I'm glad dmac said it, that was my first reaction - I would have had no idea what her background was until all the recent news coverage. Anyway, to make it a fair comparison, wouldn't we need to see files on how non-Latinas who emailed bikini photos of themselves and allegedly struck a police officer were dealt with?

Most likely, the minority stuff is just part of covering-all-your-bases lawyering and won't be in the actual lawsuit.

However, I wonder how her suit will go: I mean, CBS 3 encouraged her to go on Dr. Phil and be in the public eye, and now they fired her for, uh, well, okay, allegedly punching a cop. Yeah, I dunno how to articulate this well.

IS ALYCIA MANIC???
She was telling trish bergin and everyone around her how she wanted OUT of KYW TV. She even contacted Ken Lindner AGENCY for representation in LA to pursue an acting career to get out of her KYW contract. SO now she's out. What the hell does she want now?
What she can't get an acting job so now she wants to get back into news? Does this CHICK make sense? And she's only part latina and the station dismissed her on MORAL not ethnic grounds so how is she going to make a case out of that or out of her saying that station exploited her personal life. ALycia went along with it and enjoyed the ride and got paid handsomely by KYW in their re-upping her to 700,000. But she fucked up, so now she wants CBS to pay? She is a looney man. She probably can't get an acting gig so she has to go back to news and she just didn't expect to get let go of like this. It's about ONCE AGAIN ALYCIA LANE NEEDING to control things and END things and START the world on her terms because in ALYCIA;s world she is the BE ALL and END ALL
