Bigfoot Enthusiast Says Photo Is Bigfoot

102907bigfoot.jpg
Hey! A Pennsylvania hunter, Rick Jacobs, says he has a photo of Bigfoot (at right). He apparently snapped the photo with a camera with an automatic trigger he set up in order to get snapshots of deer.

But, instead, he got a photo of an animal of indeterminate origin, which means it must be Bigfoot! "It appears to be a primate-like animal. In my opinion, it appears to be a juvenile Sasquatch," Paul Majeta told the Associated Press. Paul Majeta, incidentally, is a member of the Bigfoot Research Organization, and is therefore an impartial judge of a creature's Sasquatchness.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission says there is "no question" the animal is a bear with a severe case of mange, but that doesn't make for a good headline.

But there is even better news. The Online Gambling Paper reports: "An online sportsbook once offered odds on the existence of Sasquatch, but the prop was canceled due to lack of interest. Now with Jacob's Bigfoot, we may see those weird odds pop up again." The OG Paper also has a report on the odds for the 2007 World Hamburger Eating Championship.

Update: In the comments, "michele" draws us a picture, literally. I really couldn't make any sense of the photo -- other than knowing it's not Bigfoot -- so it was helpful.

I think there is "no question" that it's Alycia Lane in a bikini. Somebody needs to enhance the photograph so we can finally see it!

Although, after looking at it again, it also kind of looks like an alien bending over to take it in the anus.

I'll have to study it some more.

ALB, do you have a job? Or is this it?

Dear first annonymous: So what are you doing here? Only an idiot can make a sasquatch out of a picture of a bear, which this clearly is. Unless it's your mother.

Is this the same Rick Jacobs? Because you can see where they might get confused.

This is obviously a BEAR! Look at the rounded hind feet. Bigfoot? I think not!

Posted by: Derek B. at October 29, 2007 12:26 PM

I think it is a bear. Yes it does look like a hairy person bending over. However, I think it is just ground shadow or dark spots (grass patches) that look like paws/feet. As for what I think it under the bear it could be a cub, and the mother has her leg stretched out to make room for the playing cub. As for the rear end of the bear it looks like its starving like you see bones coming through. It could be a skin problem / mite problem where the fur bounds up.

Is Sasquatchness a word? I really think you should have used Sasquatchiness here.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 29, 2007 12:46 PM

It's definitely bigfoot and the best part is he is mooning the camera.

Posted by: rubylegs at October 29, 2007 12:53 PM

I think its a chimp trying to moon the camera, but he was pointing his rear to the right of the camera. He must have been drinking.

Whatever the hell it is, its not a bear, unless the pic was screwed around with..anyone now if it was from a digital camera??

Posted by: vthunter at October 29, 2007 02:50 PM

I'm pretty sure it's not a bear or a Sasquatch, but Matt O'Donnell's penis.

Posted by: SD at October 29, 2007 03:32 PM

It was a taxpayer. I was supposed to be there but was alerted to the presence of the camera and fled.

Posted by: MBC Penis at October 29, 2007 03:50 PM

Sigh, why cat we be civil? this is a very important matter that may lead to to one of the greatest ecological discoveries of all time and were talking of drunk 'bigfoots' mooning the camera. this is either two things, one a cub playing, or two a very young sasquatch playing. People take an extraordinary time to learn to walk sasquatch probably do aswell. i would like to think sas but its probably a bear.............. but never give up hope and keep your eyes peeled on the forest cause you never know what mat step in front of your headlight

It's obviously bigfoot doing yoga (downward dog)

Posted by: JD at October 29, 2007 05:24 PM

It's not bigfoot, but this isn't the only photo this man got. The other one looks more like bigfoot.

Here is another of his pics (from a Swedish news paper)

http://www.dn.se/DNet/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=148&a=710778

it shows two pics, one with bear cubs, and 30 mins later a weird animal.

The pieces are beginning to fit together now. With the recent recovery of a chupacabra carcass in South Texas (Cuero), it seems pretty clear that we have a single species of creature, with subspecies in different parts of the Americas.

The northern subspecies, sometimes called “Sasquatch”, is covered in fur. Its southern cousin is nearly hairless.

DNA testing will tell the whole story once a northern specimen is brought in. In all likelihood, a fair amount of extraterrestrial DNA will be present. Whether this is the result of deliberate hybriding experiments by extraplanetary visitors, or the result of one of their own animals mating with a terrestrial species remains to be seen.

looks like a dude in a suit to me. Seems kinda tall and lanky for a bear.. I have seen a lot of black and grizzly bears around here.. no comparison. Still quite interesting though.

"Paul Majeta, incidentally, is a member of the Bigfoot Research Organization, and is therefore an impartial judge of a creature's Sasquatchness."

Don't you mean he is a PARTIAL judge? The word is is that it's a bear, but it sure doesn't look like a bear...
