Retards Force Dawn Stensland To ApologizeLast night, 10 O’Clock News anchor Dawn Stensland had to apologize on air for a “self-deprecating comment” she made on the air that offended people the night before. When I first saw it, i thought: Oh! People don’t like self-deprecating comments! That’s why I don’t have any friends! (Er, I mean: I’m so popular despite it, wow!) But, apparently, after a medical report, Stensland said she sometimes feels “like a retard.” Dan Gross reports she stayed up until 1 a.m. to answer the 23 — twenty-three! — emails she got after the broadcast.
