I Read Phillyblog So You Don't Have To: Godwin's Law

102006phillyblog.jpg
After a one-week hiatus, I Read Phillyblog So You Don't Have To returns this week, keeping you informed about State Rep. Mark B. Cohen's favorite place on the Internet.

Sometimes, even the stupidest people on the Internet outdo themslves. One particular poster this week on Phillyblog really takes the cake. It concerns our new friend Muhammad Shaukat. Continue on for the nitty gritty.

Muhammad Shaukat
City Newsstand Owner Refuses To Stop Selling Porn: Always with the porn on this one. Anyway, the real hero of this thread is not the person who started it, but with user I'mAwsome, who reacts to Shaukat's note -- "I gone a fuck his mother, sister, wife... who complain my newsstand. Come front of me." -- thusly:

The question now remains, what exact further charges he faces.

Ultimately, mr. shaurkat is responsible for making threats to rape women and children.
Mr. shaurkat wrote those threats and Mr. shaurkat went even further and admitted he wrote and then displayed those threats to rape women and children.

This is bad.

I know most of you label me a joker on this blog, but you know dude,

making terroristic threats that you're gonna rape and kill women and children?
What kind of sick person would think something like that? That's just inhuman.

What kind of person is this creep? You just don't make threats like that.
This individual is an animal. He should be locked up.

After a few posts calling him out for, oh, I don't know, being a little over the top, he continues:

It's now no longer about him selling porn.

It's NOW about him threatening to rape and kill women and children and mothers and daughters.
What's wrong with you people? You all seem more interested in the porn that he sells.

He admitted that he threatened to rape and kill women, children, mothers, daughters, sisters. And you all just glance nonchalantely glance over it.

You have to ask yourself, what kind of person are you when you don't
immediately come to the protection of women and children when they are threatened by rape and killings.

I mean I'm not a saint by any means, but I try my best to be an honest man.
And when I see animals, piece pf sh*t creeps like mr. shaukat
make threats to rape and kill women and children.......
the first thing that come to my mind is how am I able to protect them.

That should also be the first thing that comes to YOUR mind.

Oh! I'm sure all the women and children -- did he "threaten" children? -- of the city are really happy that I'mAwsome is on the case. They feel safe already! But, oh no, Mr. Awsome is not done. After someone pointed out that it was just a sign, and while, uh, not really in the best taste, didn't mean he was going to actually kill or rape anyone, he pulls out Godwin's Law:

Well Hitler was frustrated and Slobad Milosevic was frustrated, and the warloads in Mogedishu were frustrated.........but there's no excuse whatsoever to want to rape and kill women and children.

If you want to come to the defense of a tyrant rapist creep like that individual over there over the rights of women and children......well that's jjust the kind of person you are.

But I don't think like that. When someone like mr. shaukat threatens to rape and murder women and daughters and children.....as a man,I'm going to instinctively try to protect women and children first and foremost. I would place their safety first.

You know? , that's just how my parents raised me.....obviously you were raised differently. But hey, no hard feelings. I hope nothing bad ever happens to your family and loved ones.

But hey I'm just a

I do appreciate that he compared this newsstand guy to Hitler and Milosevic. It's like, "Hmm, Hitler's not enough to make my point; I better sprinkle in a little Milosevic to make sure I get my point across."

This is already getting long, but there's more:

No Pistaugh, the question at hand isn't the absolute guilt of mr shaurkat. Because mr. shaurkat already admitted that he was guilty.

The GLARING and DISTURBING question at hand is- why individauls like quah_man would rather defend animals whole declare they would "rape women, daughters, wives...."

But quah_man doesn't defend women and children FROM rape and murder.
He doesn't defend them.
Look at his rhetoric, notice his rhetoric- not once did he come to the defence of victims of rape and murder.

That's the issue at hand. Why do some people instinctively come to the defense of women and children who are threatened by rape and murder.
While other people do the instinctively try to defend the rapists.

After saying that he's "going to directly confront any form of intolerance like that" in regards to our Irish/Indian friend, someone says, "I guess you already went down there and confronted him?" His reply:

Good idea. I'm glad I thought of it.

Congratulations, I'mAwsome! You win Philadelphia Will Do's first ever Phillyblog Tough Guy award! This award signifies that you are, indeed, a tough guy on Phillyblog.

Phew. That was a long one, but, trust me, it was worth it.

a walk in the park: There's only one real great reply in this thread, coming from user Old 4 sq (and we'll see him again, too):

Let me say this about that,

Its called What If??????
What if, one of them bit bulls, went for you, and the othere killed your dog buster, then both went after you, As the owner tryed to get control of his two land sharks.??????? That is all they are, SHARKS with TEETH, with four little legs, And the police officer, was looking the other way as he drove by, and did not see what was happening to you and Buster your dog. would you, then call to him for help, Or would you type something bad about the police that are out there 24 hr day in and day out, would you also Bring in the race card, The Police are people too, They have dogs, Me I have a 55 lb cat, Named Fuzzy, Some one that I know, that works at the Philadelphia Zoo, said it was not a house cat, Its something else, but all the dogs in the area, move out of Fuzzy's way when I walk him on his chain. Fuzzy, does not like dogs, But I keep him on a chain, because I do not want anyone to get hurt, Now don't you think that dumb a$$hole, with his pit bulls, should of done the same thing as me and you do.

Thread! Of! The! Week! The T!O!T!W! award goes to user Old 4 sq for his thread titled, "Pennsylvaina Ave, How safe do you think it is????":

First let me map out what I am talking about, If you go, to 27 th street, and look over the rail, on top of the bridge, at Pennsylvaina Ave, you will see a railroad below you and the opening of the train tunnell.

Now walk down to 29th street, cross the tracks, and follow the new stone road allong the tracks, walk back to the entrance to the tunnell, Once inside, to your left the tracks have been removed, There is now a large stone road, that goes under Pennsylvaina Ave, The entrance on your left to another tunnell, well the train is still useing it, stay out of there.

You will need a flashlight, a large one, as you walk it, stay out of the middle, there are open holes, with a large river running under it, do not go near the holes.
With your flashlight, look up at the condition of the road way above your head. it is a good fourty feet above your head,

Now as you walk, think about every weekend, in the warm weather, how many people come into the area, with there cars, and park anywhere they can,

I think the city, or the railroad, should take a good look at the condition of the roof, to a highway, we call Pennsylvaina Ave. I think it is in very bad shape.

And that, my friends, is poetry.

I disapprove of such abject laziness

Personally, I really enjoyed the little anecdote about Fuzzy, the 55-pound cat. But to be honest, I couldn't follow that last one to save my life. I can't even picture it in my head.

There was an interview on 94.1 with him and he obiously did not understand what his own sign meant. He was just angry at having to move his newsstand.
