Eagles Doink Their Way To Victory

A quarter into yesterday's Eagles game against the Houston Texans, the Eagles were down 7-0, McNabb had thrown an interception and Eagles fans across the Delaware Valley were wondering if they should switch the channel over to the Phillies game. (That, of course, wouldn't have been any better.)

The next three quarters went, oh, just a bit better and the Eagles ended up rolling to a 24-10 victory. The Texans are probably not any good this year, but it was quite a good start for the Birds, especially the run defense.

The television announcers? Well, they weren't even in preseason form. (Brian Baldinger said the first Texans drive was "flawless perfection.") But the best part of the game was most certainly this:

I'm not sure if that was the ball hitting the upright or if someone happened to fire a cannon at the same time.
