Don't Be Koy

An Eagles-related letter -- Sunday's the opener! -- in today's Daily News:

I CANNOT UNDERSTAND how the Eagles could put 10 seasons into Koy Detmer, grooming him as a solid backup quarterback, to release him just to have a couple of different veterans.

I can understand having Jeff Garcia on the club along with Detmer. But why do you go out and sign A.J. Feeley?

If you are going to put 10 years into a football player, at least get something for him in a trade! Without making a trade, you are just wasting those 10 seasons.

It's obvious that the Eagles could have gotten an A.J. Feeley-type quarterback in a trade with Koy Detmer.

This has to be a joke, right? Or is it actually serious? Either way, I think this is my favorite letter of all time.
