Short-Named Philadelphians Are Against Gun Violence

Philly mayoral candidate Tom Knox has started a website and petition to allow the city to set its own gun laws in the hopes of (a) stopping gun violence and (b) getting elected mayor. Both, surely, are fine and noble goals -- well, okay, the former much moreso.

He's also released a television ad:

Knox is a little wooden -- and, really, does he even have a chance to become mayor, anyway? Still, y'know, it's not a bad way for an outsider candidate to begin his campaign.

But, really, the best part of the ad is the steady stream of people signing the petition behind him -- and, really, how quickly they sign their obviously short names.

The girl at the end pretty much just walks by quickly and grabs the free thing they're handing out. Awesome.
