TV News, Hot Off The Wire
Lad mag FHM is currently doing a poll of sexiest newscasters, and -- since we're such a great TV-news obsessed city, Philadelphia has three whole nominees.
The three nominees from Philly are Kerri-Lee Halkett (Fox 29), Alycia Lane (CBS 3) and Erin O'Hearn (6 ABC).
Me, I think like 99 percent of television news anchors are hot, but then again I am also angry at the lack of Rita Cosby on this sexy newsanchor poll. (No, I'm serious.) I fully support the idea of more attractive people on television, especially those of the sex I happen to be attracted to (women). Hot guys are okay, too, I suppose, though they don't do much for me -- with the exception of NBC 10's Harry Hairston, rawr!
But those three nominees, I'd say, have a good shot at winning this thing. But over at The Illadelph, they're having a poll to decide who's the hottest local TV anchor from the three on the FHM list and three others, which is a great idea even if Stephanie Abrams was left off the list. (I have a special affinity for the reports who are already on TV when I'm up at 6 a.m. Update, 5 p.m.: Oh, yeah, and Lauren Cohn.)
Anyway, the other nominees over there are Jade McCarthy (NBC 10), Maria LaRosa (CBS 3) and Jessica Borg (6 ABC), the last of which would definitely win any newscaster list polling for best last name.
I encourage you to go over there and vote, even though I wish I had done that newscaster bracket that I was thinking about doing at the start of March. (Oh well. Next year, next year.) I won't taint your vote with who I'm voting for. Also, I'm having trouble deciding between Erin O'Hearn and Kerri-Lee Halkett.
And before you say this contest is objectifying women or something similar, I will counter with simply this: Maybe. But there are no losers in a "hot television news anchor contest," only winners. Sexy, sexy winners.

Erin O'Hearn is excruciatingly beautiful! So beautiful that it hurts. I used to think that kerry Lee Halkett was fine, but now I really don't think so. I mean she's cute but that's it. Jessica Borg isn't that great either.

i'm in love with erin o hern...i would lick this lady from head to toe (everywhere in between)...she also appears to have a great personality. she's always laughing (not a douchebag who cant show emotion like Alycia)...ERIN I HOPE YOU GOOGLE YOURSELF TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU AND YOU READ THIS. YOu wouldn't find Erin attractive if you saw her in person. Plain and pudgey, nothing without her makeup. Not to mention everyone thinks she's a bee-atch. One of the rudest chicks I've ever met,she came into our shop and did a story with us, and once the camera is off the real Erin is on. I was disgusted.

erin o'hearn is not on TV to impress you by how she looks, she's there to do a job. she does it very well. i too believe she is beautiful but being unable to see her, my vision of her is made purely in my mind.

I agree with Pat D. She looks great on tv and I always thought that she was the most beautiful person out there, but then when I saw her in real life I was SO disappointed! She is actually on the larger size, too... not fat but definitely doesn't have a good body, and is not nearly as pretty without her make-up. Didn't appear to be all that friendly, either. I was surprised and disappointed and how average she looked when she was not on tv. Oh well.
