Mariano mayhem!

I've mashed up all the news stories of yesterday evening to give you the story at the time:

Rick Mariano was sitting on top of Billy Penn's hat with an AK-47 and screaming that if all these charges aren't dropped, he's going to start picking off people -- before jumping himself, of course. He also was shouting profanities at Vernon Odom.

Then John Street, wearing a Roman collar and carrying a giant oversized bible, came up and talked Rick down, knocking the gun out of his hand and into Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson's, who immediately turned the gun into the guns for toys program and gave Mariano a little stuffed puppy in return.

Mariano then came down and went to the hospital.

Now, of course, it's been revised a little:

Mariano was in the observation deck, didn't have a gun, but authorities thought he was suicidal, hence all the police and firetrucks. He's voluntarily checked himself into the hospital.

Now you know why watching live news is so much fun! And much more accurate.
