How I spent my day

So today I wanted to watch the Philly.com chats as they happened. Live. On the Internet.

The PhillyTalk page looked like this for approximately several hours:

And the people who got into the chats, whoo, boy were there some interesting questions:

Tightwad: I can't see the previous conversation that was posted. It seems to be one of the shortcomings of the Inky's chat system. But I guess you get what you pay for, no?

Jeff Gelles: Funny you'd say that....

Jeff Gelles: All this new technology is intriguing, but some of it doesn't work as well as others. There are some systems we're exploring that would allow everybody to see everything the other people in the room are saying -- like the "live" chat you're referring to. Probably a better idea. Stay tuned -- or at least stop by again.

Sigh.
